Ever since the city all but banned STR's, I have heard of people still trying to advertise listings on sites such as facebook and craigslist. Looking at craigslist, there is an entire "vacation rentals" section. Anyone ever have experience or success advertising there? I feel like with all the nightmare stories of squatters in NYC and how hard it is to rightfully evict people, using craigslist must lead to some nightmare scenario's.

Yeah no, Craigslist is a hard pass for me. Looking at the listings in the "Vacation Rental" section most look like they are trying to attract monthly's anyways. I don't really see too many quality listings and I don't suppose the inquiries are going to come from any quality guests.
