With the insurance prices skyrocketing, are any of you having trouble finding something affordable and what are you all paying?? My rate is going to double to $8000 and it doesn't even cover wind damage. I've spoken to a bunch of companies and they don't cover short term rentals.

Who do you use? Proper is the main company in Florida that have experience with STRs. Are you near the water?

Proper insurance was also my only choice. My rates have been going up significantly as well. IMO you're lucky that companies are still willing to insure you with everything that has been going on.

Our rate has gone from $5k to $8K in the last two years. I've heard of other people getting dropped completely in my area so I suppose I'm "lucky".
