Insurance and pets - Inspired - 12-24-2025 I just renewed my insurance policy. The company they are no longer covering pets brought by guests. Will airbnb coverage suffice? Wondering if I should still accept pets but only if they are if a safer breed? Can I buy a separate policy for this? Ideas would be appreciated. What’s interesting is that last month out of the total of 7 guests 3 brought their pets without telling us…..so even if we don’t allow pets I think this coverage is important. RE: Insurance and pets - IntelOutside - 12-24-2025 What I found helped with limiting undisclosed pets was a note to the guest, in the Airbnb app, that says the access code will be sent as soon as they confirm the number of guests and pets. RE: Insurance and pets - ChrisFromTheOC - 12-24-2025 If you are having 3 out of 7 guests bringing in un-authorized pets you should revisit your hosting strategy. Post a hefty fine for unauthorized pets in the listing info even if it's something that will be hard to collect on. Are you accepting guests with terrible reviews? I've only had 1 person ask about bringing a pet when I clearly say no pets and 0 ended up brining one to my knowledge. RE: Insurance and pets - hello101 - 12-25-2025 I suggest putting something like "Due to our insurance policy, pets are strictly forbidden on our property. Violation of this will result in a cancellation of stay. If you have pets, please consider a different property to avoid unnecessary cancellations to your trip". |
